SAM allows you to set your phone in an away state. After opening the application you will see a list of saved away messages. Select a saved message to see a pop up menu. From this pop-up you can: go away with the selected message, delete the selected message, or cancel. To away,away + save,save a message, simply select the button "New Message". Upon entering away, with the specified message, several things will happen. The visible application will close, your phones ring type will change to silent(If this option is enabled), and you will receive a message saying SAM is online. Then lock/close your phone or even play a game.
SAM notifications will appear in the notification bar letting you know SAM is online and giving the number of automated responses. When you are done driving, watching a movie, playing a game or any other activity, just simply adjust the ring volume between Silent/Vibrate/Ring(If this option is enabled). A message will then be displayed saying SAM is offline. The alternative is opening the application and selecting "I'm Back" button.
Open your Messages Inbox and text away. Your text messages will remain unopened so you know which ones were received while in SAM mode.
Preferences Menu -
Select from 5 color schemes: red, blue, pink, cyan, black.
Silent Mode -Option to set your ring type to silent when entering away
Easy Off - Option to turn SAM off when the ring type changes between Silent/Vibrate/Ring
